Award-winning MBA and BSc graduate, Shannon has a demonstrably effective track record in strategic, business and financial planning, as well as project management, in regulated environments such as health care and IS/IT.
In her current role as Director of Strategy, for an agency of the Provincial Government, Shannon has accountability for Strategic and Corporate Business Planning, Corporate Outcomes and Measures, and the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office. Shannon is responsible for establishing project and portfolio governance for all corporate projects. She employs a customer service approach in working with Project Managers and Senior Management to control and allocate funding, review and assess project and portfolio health, and resolve issues and risks.
In her former life, Shannon worked at Sunnybrook Hospital as a Vascular Technologist where she performed vascular ultrasounds to diagnose arterial and venous disease. Shannon also has six years of experience in the hospitality industry, having worked in customer service and sales roles at three luxury hotels.
Shannon has an International Master of Business Administration from Griffith University in Australia, a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo, and she is currently pursuing a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
