One Day Agile Conference in Toronto - Thursday November 3rd
The Toronto Agile Community presents the 3rd Annual Agile Tour conference being held at the Toronto Board of Trade. This popular conference sells out each year, providing attendees and sponsors with numerous opportunities to benefit from this lively, informative and interactive event.
This year's conference will celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the signing of the Agile Manifesto – a key milestone in the adoption and evolution of Agile practices. To mark this occasion, Agile Tour Toronto ’11 will feature interactive sessions, workshops and plenty of opportunities to network. Whether you are new to Agile or have a lot of experience, this conference promises to deliver value to all levels of expertise.
For business audiences, you will gain key insights and learnings on the practical implementation of Agile methodologies within companies. For practitioners, you’ll find out about the latest developments, tools and methodologies.
We are pleased to announce our keynote speaker for Agile Tour Toronto ’11 – Mary Poppendieck, a thought leader and catalyst for business transformation.
Mary has been in the Information Technology industry for over thirty years. She has managed software development, supply chain management, manufacturing operations, and new product development. She spearheaded the implementation of a Just-in-Time system in a 3M video tape manufacturing plant and led new product development teams, commercializing products ranging from digital controllers to 3M Light Fiber™.
Mary is a popular writer and speaker, and coauthor of the book Lean Software Development, which was awarded the Software Development Productivity Award in 2004. A sequel, Implementing Lean Software Development, was published in 2006. A third book, Leading Lean Software Development, was published in 2009.
Once again, we are proud to host the event at the Toronto Board of Trade. Located in First Canadian Place in the heart of Toronto's financial district, the venue is in close proximity to TTC, GO Transit and parking.
