Welcome to the Call for Sessions web page for the Toronto Agile Conference. We are accepting session proposals for presentations, interactive sessions, technical sessions, games, and workshops.
This year the conference will feature 9 concurrent interactive sessions.
You can submit a session by visiting https://confengine.com/toronto-agile-community-2016/proposals and adding a proposal.
This page can also be reached by clicking on "View Conferences" from the ConfEnfine home page, then finding "Toronto Agile Community 2016".
Submission deadline is August 22nd. Even though the submission system closes on August 19th, we invite you to submit earlier so we can ask questions and provide feedback.
- Sessions will be selected on September 7th.
- Selected speakers will be notified starting September 8th through September 14th. Speakers who are not selected will be notified after all of the speakers have confirmed their attendence.
- Program available on web site on September 15th.
Fit with target audience - new to agile, practitioners, software craftsmen and people in management positions.
Value to participants
Presenter track record (e.g. previous conference experience, YouTube videos of past presentations are encouraged; you can even record yourself giving a lightning talk of your session proposal)
Overall program balance (reduce overlap / duplication of topic/mixture of interactive/non-interactive sessions)
We have time slots of 60 and 90 mins. There will be fourteen 60-minute sessions and seven 90-minute sessions.
If you have questions, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Who is the Audience?
I use Agile but am not an expert, can I still submit a session?
Yes! As this is a local conference, we feel it is important to provide a stage for local presenters to find a voice and chance to share. We can even help to make it better, just ask for help!
What benefits do I get as speaker?
Up to 2 presenters per session get free admission to the conference.
I want to present in Toronto, but I live elsewhere. How can I pay for the trip?
We welcome you to our conference, but we cannot cover travel or lodging expenses. We opted for a low cost conference, and don't have budget to pay for speakers.
